The CAE is an advanced-level (C1) examination requiring competence in all the language skills and recognized by employers and educational institutions around the world.

This one-semester intensive course offers preparation for the CAE examination. Students who do not wish to take the exam are of course also welcome.

Would you like to discover your dramatic side? Or are you looking for an enjoyable way to practice your English? In this course you will learn some basic acting techniques, such as using space and movement, being aware of the audience, conveying emotions, and creating a character. The course is suited for native as well as non-native speakers; no acting experience is required. Lots of fun guaranteed! Make sure to wear comfortable clothes. Please bring indoor shoes.

Would you like to try out improv acting, or just to have fun while practicing your English? In this course you will learn and enjoy the basic techniques of many improv games. Suddenly you may find yourself acting out a scene about, say, a singing serial killer, or a job interview in a hot-air balloon. Who knows? The main point is simply to say YES to anything that happens. Be prepared to laugh, and to surprise yourself!

The course is suitable for enthusiastic improv actors with and without experience.

Make sure to wear comfortable clothes. Please bring indoor shoes.

The main aim of this course is to build your confidence in your spoken English through a fun, interesting and interactive approach. A large part of each session is therefore dedicated to discussion through means of group work, partner work, games etc. We do also address other skills such as Grammar, Listening, Reading and Writing for a more global approach.

This semester we will be reading ‘Table for Two’ (2024) by the bestselling author Amor Towles. After three successful novels, Towles turns his attention to the short story. His latest work consists of six short stories connected to NYC and a novella based in LA which continues the story of one of the central characters in his novel ‘Rules of Civility’ (2011).

This is an enjoyable and entertaining collection by one of the best storytellers of our time’.

This is the perfect course for all those who enjoy speaking English. We will discuss e.g. topics of general interest, current events and literature as well as practising conversational skills in pairs and small groups. Our focus will also be on activating grammar and vocabulary and discovering new ways of expressing ourselves.

The Certificate of Proficiency is a high-level (C2) qualification which proves that a candidate has an exceptional level of English for use in academic or professional settings. It shows employers and universities that you are able to use English at near-native levels.

Our intensive preparation course is for advanced speakers of English who are prepared to work intensively at home and who are looking for a thorough preparation for the CPE examination.

Students who do not want to take the exam are of course welcome.

This course enables learners to cope effectively in English with changes of today’s working conditions.
