Each week in Creative Writing - The Art of the Short Story, we will read and discuss a famous short story in English, then talk about it to share our initial reactions and discover how and why the text moved us. As the course continues, students will be enabled to craft their own works of short fiction. They will learn useful writing strategies and genre formulas and their creativity will be encouraged. Towards the end of the course, there will be "writing workshop" sessions where students will have the opportunity to share and respond to one another's work in a safe, supportive environment.
